Fabric notes

Know what the cloth is telling you. Compare fibers, constructions and label claims without confusing them with measured garment performance.

Which fabric question are you trying to settle?

A shortlist becomes easier to compare when you separate three things: what the fibers are, how the cloth is made, and what information the listing actually supplies. Two garments described as cotton can differ on all three. Use the routes below to resolve the uncertainty that would change your purchase, then return to the product collections.

“I want cotton, but the description mentions other materials.”

Begin with reading a cotton pajama label. It explains which percentages to look for and why a garment title can leave questions about individual pieces or trim. Once that distinction is clear, the 100% cotton collection narrows the selection to listings making that explicit claim.

“I know the fiber; I cannot picture the feel.”

The knit-versus-woven guide is the most useful starting point for construction. Then compare the jersey, poplin and flannel collections. Their names help organize the search; they do not establish a garment's weight, softness or temperature performance.

“Is the premium label meaningful?”

Keep cotton fiber names separate from organic claims and certification scope. The first helps interpret Pima and Supima wording; the second helps identify what an organic claim covers. Neither replaces checking the garment's cut and care requirements.

Bring the comparison back to one garment

Before deciding, record the chosen variant's composition, named construction and care instructions alongside any unanswered questions. If the actual problem is waking too warm, continue to the sleep-hot selection guide; a fiber comparison alone cannot account for sleeves, leg coverage and bedding. For dimensions and movement, take the shortlist into the fitting room.
